This wasn't an event organised by FOW but we were invited to come along and help out for the weekend. In total there were 10 FOW members there to help out with cooking, chopping, moving, driving, shouting and anything else that was useful to BUGS.
The event was held at Beechen Cliff School on Bear Flat which provided indoor accommodation and the use of the canteen for cooking and eating. There was a photo treasure hunt organised for the Saturday morning and then the usual selection of activities in the afternoon. The Barn Dance in the evening was held in the sports hall at the school with the Grand Union band and Barry Goodman (Jenny's Dad) as the caller. This was an excellent location as it was large and the band and the caller coped magnificently with the motely crew of SSAGO.
The Sunday followed the usual format, except as it was Remembrance Sunday there was a minute's silence at 11am at the beginning of Silly games.
I would like to congratulate the BUGS on an extremely successful rally, which is a credit to Jenny, Sara, Danny and the rest of the committee. You all deserve a huge BRAVO.
