Summer Party

25th-28th August 2000

Friday night, people arrived by plane, train and automobile. First debate was on what to order from the Chinese. Half an hour later, the order was phoned through only to find the Chinese was closed (.....someone forgot to check opening times again!.....remember Longleat Nigel!!!). Fish and Chips was a good substitute.

Saturday morning, a stroll along the river to do our own individual things around York. In the evening we all went out for a good meal followed by a few drinks in a pub. But the serious drinking started when we got home and went on until the early hours

Sunday, woke up to blue skies as we headed across to Masham. The lads went to look around Theakstons brewery while the girlies went and explored the local tea shops (must have been fascinating.....but we did appreciate you driving!!!). The evening BBQ was relaxing with Chef Gareth looking after the burgers and sausages. We finished off playing a new eggciting game where we had to try and remove the eggs from between a plastic chickens wings. After a few drinks, our poultry efforts to remove to eggs often failed!!!

Monday, another hearty breakfast and time to depart our separate ways....until next time!!
